The boot was big enough to transport at least 3 hat boxes, 4 large suitcase and a vanity case of Ouma. Also not to mention the luggage of the family on their way to Plet. It took mom ages to pack all the things into the boot, with dad sitting in the driver’s seat impatiently hooting and cursing.
